Each year, the ANOC General Assembly gathers approximately 1000 participants, including ANOC’s members - the world’s 206 National Olympic Committees, the ANOC Executive Council, the ANOC Commissions, the International Olympic Committee members, their management and staff, International Federations, Olympic Games & Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committees, and other stakeholders of the Olympic Movement.
The ANOC General Assembly
- Provides an opportunity for all the world’s NOCs to meet in-person each year to discuss their common interests, challenges, and relevant topics within the Olympic Movement.
- Offers opportunities to share of ideas, best practices, and develop partnerships.
- Enables discussions on any issues faced by the NOCs, looking for common ground for positioning the NOCs as a common force in the Olympic Movement.
- Provides a platform for the key Olympic stakeholders to interact and discuss the future of the Olympic Movement.
- Approves major decisions for the future of ANOC.
- Holds the organizations elections every fourth year.
